MX POLYMER POWDER

MX45L POLYMER LIQUID

THIXOTROPIC , ground stabilising geotechnical viscosifier, slurry additive, jacking lubricant, and foam additive.

Excellent pipe jacking lubricant and slurry stabiliser for salt water sands and gravels.

Features and Benefits

  • Easy to pump because of its “shear thinning” characteristics
  • Allows increased carrying capacity in the slurry at lower pump rates.
  • This allows laminar flow behaviour and reduces risk of scouring.

  • Challenging drilling and tunnelling applications.
  • Stabilises and supports sands, gravels, and weak strata
  • Builds high gel strength when static and
  • Reduces risk of over/under mining.
  • Biodegradable - non toxic.
  • Excellent transport properties allow easy suspension of fines.
  • MX POLYMER is particularly recommended as a stabilising agent in tunnelling to provide face support when sands, gravels, cobbles etc are encountered.
  • MX45L Liquid is recommended for injection pumping and rapid mixing.

How to Use:

In slurry or foam solution, add usually 3 to 5 kg per cubic metre of water.

NOTE: MX slurry will remain easily pumpable at extremely high viscosity. Higher viscosity should be considered for stabilisation of loose, running, or weathered face.

Safety

Biodegradable, non toxic, safe in use BUT always read the MSDS sheet before using for the first time. Note: Slippery when wet.
